Hair consists of the protein keratin, which also makes up your nails. The hair is found inside the hair follicle, a small duct that is found in the skin. Terminal hair is the other type of hair that is found on the body. This type of hair is much coarser and darker than the Vellus type, and usually appears on the legs, armpits, and pubic areas. This hair acts as a shield to protect these areas from outside trauma. Men also develop this type of hair on their face. Due to certain medical conditions, women can also develop terminal facial hair, especially on their upper lip. Hormonal imbalances can also cause this phenomenon to occur.

The easiest and least expensive way for men to remove hair from their face and women to remove it from their legs and armpits is by shaving it off. To take hair off of other areas on women, such as their face, there are a variety of hair removal products available. Due to the coarseness of your hair type, some products may work better for you than others. It will probably be a process of trial and error when using these products to find the right one for you.

Hair growth is a normal part of the human condition. Removing it can be a much more difficult task.
